Adult French – Lesson 2
After many years of developing and harnessing her language-teaching skills with The French Ecole, Alexa has now created an audio treat for people who wish to learn a new language from scratch, without any pressure, in fun, relaxed, and manageable chunks.
This is the third lesson of Alexa’s famous French For Beginners course. Highlights of Lesson 2 include:Some more basic vocabulary; an introduction to the days of the week; some French numbers; and another quiz.

Just found your website today and I love it!…but wanted to let you know that something doesn’t quite match between the 2nd lesson support sheet (which is labeled LFWA2, but says Lesson 3 at the top). Also the tracks downloaded as LFWA2 don’t quite match the track listing on the support sheet. It matches up through Track 3, then Track 4 introduces numbers instead of Correction of quiz 2 as is written on the sheet.
Just thought you might like to know. Great job, though in general. Really fun approach!

Having just commenced learning French, listening to your pronounciation and the fun way that you present this beautiful language is going to help me enjoy the process a whole lot more I’m sure.

Hi Julie,
I am glad you enjoy it. In my opinion learning a language should not be stressful or regarded as a chore. I think it is the reason why I was considered as being a ’cause perdue’ (a lost cause) in English at school. I now know that it was not entirely my fault but the teacher’s fault for not sharing their enthusiasm for the language that they were teaching. Looking back, all the stress could have been avoided, had everything been clearly explained… Oh well, c’est la vie!!
p.s I welcome any suggestions you may have in improving this site and any new material you would like to see as well.

Hi Alexa
i’m on a work project in Ghana and far from home:L’Afrique du Sud. I’m really enjoying the audio lessons and started to use the PDFs tonight. Your methods are great. I’m making progress. Quick question: the guitar music on the audio – who is it? sounds great!
Au revoir

Dear Pierre,
It is probably an apple loop. As for the singer at the end of each lesson, her name is Lorraine and you can find her in http://www.lopolidoro.com.
Salut
