After many years of developing and harnessing her language-teaching skills with The French Ecole, Alexa has now created an audio treat for people who wish to learn a new language from scratch, without any pressure, in fun, relaxed, and manageable chunks.
Lessons 16 to 30 take what you’ve learnt in lessons 1 to 15 to the next level. There are new songs, listening comprehensions, dialogues, interviews, poems, listener homework sessions and weird phone calls. Alexa introduces more useful vocabulary and verbs and loads of important grammar: talking in the past using auxiliaries, partitive articles, 2nd and 3rd group verbs and how to conjugate them, past participles, reflexive verbs, French accents and sounds, adverbs, the imperfect and perfect tenses, comparatives and superlatives, idioms, direct and indirect object pronouns, the conditional and the dreaded future tense are just some of the topics that she covers. Plus, of course, all the usual bits and bobs that you’ve come to expect.
