I should note again that I enjoy your lessons, they are exciting and your style is amazing. You make me laugh many times. Learning french with Alexa is good fun!

I have benefited tremendously from your excellent French course during the past year, which has hugely supplemented my knowledge of the language obtained many years ago. My reading skills are now not bad, and my speaking and listening are improving, though I need more practice. [...] Of all the French courses I have attended in the past yours is undoubtedly the best, in scope, content, and interest. [...] Thanks to you I am now beginning to pick up spoken French better and can actually make myself understood when I am in France. [...] Your sujets de la semaine are a revelation; they are so culturally stimulating and I feel that my knowledge of France is widening all the time. The fact that I can now follow what you are saying pleases me more than I can say.

I Just spent a couple weeks in france (Grenoble). If was fabulous. I listened to ALL 44 of your lessons (several times) before I went. It made it much more fun. Can’t wait to go again. Thanks for putting together such great material. It was well worth the price. The skiing around Grenoble is unbelievable.

I am having great fun, learning lots, and finding your lessons and methods far superior to anything I’ve tried before (including in-class lessons in Paris!)

I love your site and your podcast materials, particularly Le sujet de la semaine. It is a great resource for improving my French listening skills. I could speak on almost any subject in French, but when confronted with hearing a native French speaker, I had difficulty understanding more than a few words. Le sujet de la semaine was a huge help in overcoming this. I applaud your efforts and wish you the best of luck in your ventures.

Bonjour Alexa, Thanks for your lessons. I listen to them each day on my drive home from work. They’re the best lessons that I’ve found on the web. I love your voice and your kind and relaxed attitude. Keep them coming!! Merci!!

Until I found Alexa, I struggled to learn even the most basic French. Now I’m conjugating at an eighth-grade level, and what’s more having fun while I do it. I’d recommend Alexa to anybody looking to learn French.

Dear Alexa, I learned very rudimentary French in third grade (primary school) as a child of 8 to 9 years old. We had a teacher named Mrs Diehl who gave us more than was required and we benefitted from her knowledge of the French language. The things that stuck in my memory were “Un Flambeau Jeanette, Isabelle”, “Un Elephant, ça trompe, ça trompe”, “Un, deux, trois, nous irons au bois”. This learning took place in 1964-5, in Philadelphia, PA, USA. I am now 53 and was just musing and decided to google the lyrics of the songs as I could remember them and your site came up! It must make you laugh but I want to thank you for helping to reinforce these delightful childhood memories and correct my horrible childhood mangling of your beautiful language! Thank you again!! — Joe

Alexa and your team, vous êtes wonderful. Keep up the great work and I look forward to continuing to learn French with you (J’ai hâte!). It is late on Friday evening in Australia and I have had one or two glasses of wine, otherwise I would have written this in French but it would take too long!! Merci encore. — Jennifer
Kevin, from The UK
Dear Alexa, I began French lessons a week ago with a tutor, Sylvie, here in Reading. She recommended your site to me. (More accurately, yours was the only site she recommended!) From what I have seen of your programme, I believe that it will provide me with excellent support to fulfil my New Year’s resolution- namely to raise (finally!!!) my French language skills to a level at which I will no longer feel embarrassed to buy my morning baguettes when I am in France! J’espère être un bon étudiant! A bientôt — Kevin

I just wanted to tell you I have been learning French on my own for about 7 months now. I have tried many many podcasts and about four other audiobooks. I like yours the best. I love the handouts. I love your excitement for the language. I am just a baby beginner but I visit your site every day. I just wanted to say awesome job. An American who loves French — Jule

Hi Alexa, I am enjoying your lessons very much. In my misspent youth I worked in Paris for about 2 years (that was about 45 years ago), and I am trying to brush up my French so your lessons are bringing back a lot of great memories. Je voudrais vous remercier pour m’aider. — Peter
Cairo, from The Philippines
Salut, Alexa! Je m’appelle Cairo, et J’habite eux (is that right? lol) les Philippines. I’ve been listening to your podcasts lately, and they’ve been very helpful! Thank you very much, you’re a wonderful teacher. I’m still halfway done, but I’m already thinking of taking up French in college. (It’s not exactly a common subject to take up here in my country.) :D Alright, that’s enough. Haha. You can tell by now that i’m a big fan, and that i’ve already endorsed you to probably a dozen friends already. Much love from the Philippines :x — Your student, Cairo.
Pekka, from Finland
Dear Alexa, Thanks for the lessons! They are great! I listen them daily in my

driving back home after a work day. Take care! Best regards — Pekka
