- ils ont su (they knew/they have known) - masculine or mixed masculine/feminine
- elles ont su (they knew/they have known) - feminine plural
EXAMPLES
- George a su comment faire un gâteau au chocolat.
George knew how to make a chocolate cake. - Ils ont su chanter et danser après deux mois de leçons.
They knew how to sing and dance after two months of lessons. - Nous avons su où aller.
We knew where to go.
