What is the GCSE?
The GCSE, or General Certificate of Secondary Education, is a qualification taken by school students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as some institutions in other countries around the world, in order to prepare them for the final two years of secondary school and for the job market. There are around 60 subjects with GCSE qualifications - including, of course, French.

What's the difference between the GCSE course alone and the GCSE & CFC Bundle?
- GCSE French Preparation Course: Designed specifically for students preparing for their GCSE exams. It focuses on exam skills, key topics, and practice for top grades. Students should ideally have at least A2 level in the CEFR. This is a revision course, not a comprehensive course like the CFC.
- Complete French Course (CFC): Designed for complete beginners, covering all levels of French from basics to advanced. Students with a lower level than A2 may benefit from completing the CFC first before taking the GCSE revision course.
- GCSE & CFC Bundle: You can purchase both together at a discounted rate, ideal for learners who need to build foundational skills before focusing on exam preparation.
Can I start this GCSE French Preparation Course with little or no prior French knowledge?
To get the most from this revision course, we recommend having at least an A2 level of French. If you’re a complete beginner, the Complete French Course is a better starting point. The bundle option includes both courses, letting you progress smoothly from beginner level to GCSE exam readiness.
