Learn French and get a certificate

Did you know our Complete French Course provides CPD certification upon completion of each of the end-of-module exams?

That means that once you’ve completed all the lessons for one of the six modules of the Complete French Course - from A1 to C2 - and passed the exam, you will be able to download a certificate in your account area.

This certificate is not just a digital piece of paper. It serves as solid evidence of your aptitude in French at a given level, and has received the stamp of approval from the CPD Certification Service.

What is CPD?

CPD - or Continuing Professional Development - is a service which provides accreditation to organisations providing assessments. From the CPD website:

'CPD accreditation helps to [raise] industry standards and benchmarks in line with increasing globalisation and consumer demands. Organisations from across industry sectors use CPD accreditation to add value to their training.'

Alongside accreditation, CPD offer helpful webinars, workshops, seminars and training courses on how to continue professional development as an adult. They also feature guest articles, including exclusive blogs by Learn French With Alexa:

You can find out more about CPD on the CPD website.

What are the benefits of certification?

Structure - Subscribers to the Complete French Course will receive a certificate upon passing the examination at the end of each of the six modules of the course, from A1 to C2. Having an up-to-date certificate to mark your progress towards fluency is extremely useful for finding your bearings on your French-learning journey. Knowing you’ve passed A1 - and being able to prove it - for instance, shows that you have all the skills you need to advance through A2 with confidence, especially if you receive a merit or distinction.

Proof of proficiency - Certification from a trusted source is the best way to provide evidence of your proficiency in French. It’s something that employers and academic institutions will often be looking for, so having such a certificate at hand puts you in a better position than other applicants who may not have written proof of their skills.

A goal to work towards - Each module ends with an exam, and each exam - provided you pass - ends with certification. It can be helpful to think about the six certificates you can receive throughout the Complete French Course as milestones in your mission to reach fluency.
